Rough Day
Nodding at her, he pulled out his keys from his front pocket and quickly scanned the parking lot for someone, anyone really, but was glad to see the coast was clear. It made it so much easier to get out of there and not have to explain to the principle that they had decided to ditch school for the day. As he unlocked the car, he debated on texting Scott to cover for him if someone asked where he was by saying he got sick or something. It would be better than him just up right disappearing off campus. At least with the first option he had a chance of not getting in trouble because his dad was working late that day. He shivered a little when a cold breeze hit him and he remembered he had his gray stripped hoodie in the backseat of his car that he had left there last week.
“It's open.” Opening the back door he grabbed his hoodie and quickly slipped it on, reveling in the dryness of the sweater. He didn't regret giving Ayame his favorite hoodie though, she needed it more than him and it wasn't like he wasn't going to get it back eventually. “Yea it's a pretty good car. I had to fix it up a while ago when it broke down the road though.” The car was older than him, but only by a few years. It had actually been his mom's before everything had gone down hill and he could have sworn his dad had sold it, but on the day of his sixteenth birthday his dad had tossed him the keys and told him that it was his. Taking care of that car hadn't exactly been easy and she had suffered through many repairs in the recent year thanks to all the wolves that decided to use it as a chew toy, but Roscoe still worked, and for that, he was glad.
Stepping into the driver's seat he found the buttons that controlled the A/C and set it to a nice and warm temperature so that neither one of them would get sick. “Now I promise not to take you into the woods and kill you off but you gotta do the same for me.” He smirked and winked before turning his baby on, shifting the gear into reverse and getting the hell out of there. School was sorta fun and all, but he could only take so much before it really began to get on his nerves. It was the place where dreams went to die...okay he was being a little extreme. It wasn't that per say, it just wasn't a fun place especially when what he was known for was Scott's best friend. There had been a small time when he had been known as the hero from the lacrosse game but his fifteen minutes of fame had gone up and he went back into the shadows. Not that he would change being Scott's friend for anything, but it would still be nice to be known at school for something other than that.
