This is Dr. Alan Deaton. He's the resident bad ass, life saver, ass kicker, and veterinarian in Beacon Hills. He's the only vet at Beacon Hills and has become quite the mentor to Scott McCall, who has worked with him for years as his veterinary technician. After Scott was bit, he was extremely helpful in not only protecting the boy, but also teaching him things not even Derek Hale knew about. Back in the day he was an emissary to the Hale Pack and was quite close with Derek's mother, Talia Hale. After the pack was murdered, he kept an eye on Derek, trying to keep him out of trouble. Over the years he dealt with many things, a psycho Alpha, a Kanima, a pack of Alphas, Oni, Kitsune, and Nogitsune, just to name a few. While trying to keep all of this under control and be a vet, he also tries to be a mentor to his younger sister, Ms. Morrel.
Dr. Deaton is currently needed by Ayame Moon (as well as the rest of the pansies in Beacon Hills). She's a druid but she doesn't know it. While trained well in bad assery, she has yet to realize that she's a druid and is meant to be the emissary to Scott's pack, should they allow her. So, Deaton is more than likely, the person to help her out, guide her, and train her to be one of the best damn druids that the planet has ever seen.
