Ayame turned and waved at her aunt as she pulled away from the front curb of the Stilinski household. She muttered under her breath about how she desperately needed a way to get around that wasn’t her aunt before she looked down at the pile of things in her arms. Two orders of to-go curly fries from their usual eatery, every comic book movie she had, and so much soda, she may have a caffeine overdose. She nodded her head, believing that this was enough for the night. Well, assuming that Stiles had popcorn and chips like they had discussed. Hanging on her shoulder was a bag that held anything else she’d need for their little sleepover. Pajamas, tooth brush, toothpaste, hairbrush, clothes for the next day, and whatnot. She also had a pillow stuffed in there and had thought about a sleeping bag, but she digressed and walked up to the front door of the home. She gently knocked on the door, hoping that Stiles heard her. If not, she'd ring the door bell.
While she had met the Sheriff at least once, she had become great friends with Stiles. So much so that the two decided on having a movie night slash sleep over at his house. Ayame’s aunt, of course, had nearly a conniption fit about it when the girl asked her if she could go. There were reasons upon reasons that her aunt ranted and raved about it. From “he’s a boy, you’re a girl, you can’t stay the night at his house” to “what if he tries to take advantage of you” to “you barely know him.” It was a long fight, an argument that the two were glad they had while Mark was off doing whatever it was that young ones do. But after the argument, Ayame stated that Stiles was her only friend and she needed to hang out with someone. She couldn’t spend all of her time in the house, plus, she was gone half of the time for work anyway so it didn’t matter where the two were. Finally, she agreed.
It was so strange to think about the fact that not long ago Ayame and Stiles were complete and utter strangers. Still, after bonding in the wait rain on the lacrosse field and ditching school to get curly fries at a diner Stiles knew about, their friendship was almost instant. The two had spent practically days together, maybe weeks? Ayame wasn’t sure. She hadn’t really been keeping track. She believed that the anniversary of her parents’ death was the week before, or a few weeks before, she wasn’t sure. She had been far too focused on work, school, and hanging out with Stiles. Now, that didn’t meant they hung out every day. They just hung out…most days. Most of the time when they didn’t, he was with Scott or she had work. She didn’t mind it though, when he was with Scott she could babysit her cousin or do her homework so she wasn’t really upset when they couldn’t chill. She just hoped she wasn’t being too clingy with him…
