A light sigh escaped Ayame’s lips as she tucked her phone between her cheek and her shoulder, listening to Peter Hale’s voice as he spoke to her about how he didn’t like that she was visiting this pack of werewolves, this new pack that he had yet to spy on and discover if they were any good or not. “Peter, I’m sure everything will be fine. After all, I’m just going to return the gym bag and then I’m heading home. Besides, it’s not like killing me would do them a whole lot of good, well, except pissing off an Alpha and a Once-Was-Alpha.” Ayame heard Peter huff. She could practically see the hair on the back of his neck stand up in irritating. ”For your information, that was insulting and I’m not all that pleased with your tone, missy.” Ayame chuckled and nodded her head. ”Yes, alright. I’ll text you when I get home if you’re that worried about it, Papa.” She joked. ”Oh, ha ha.” There was bitterness in his sarcastic tone before he finally spoke again. ”Alright, fine. But if I don’t get one before midnight, I’m going there and ripping throats out.” ”Yes, alright, Papa Wolf. Good night,” she stated before she ended the call.
The Druid shook her head before she tossed her phone in the seat next to her and looked at the house in front of her. Peter had been talking to her from the Hale House to this place. How she had known where he lived she wasn’t sure. She wasn’t a werewolf and she couldn’t smell where Hykeem was but she was sure that she had heard people talk about the new people who had moved into this place while she had been working or walking around or at school. Either way, she was sure she wouldn’t be considered a complete and total creep. And, if nothing else, the girl wore a necklace with mountain ash inside of it. It looked like a little vial of black sparkles when it was actually mountain ash, which was nice. Whether it worked or not remained to be seen since, well, Peter had given it to her before she left the Hale House. If nothing else, it made her feel better, after all, she had no idea how these werewolves would feel with her visiting their home, or smelling like Peter Hale.
Deciding it was time for her to get off of her ass, Ayame tucked her phone into her back pocket, turned off the truck and grabbed Hykeem’s gym bag. She pulled herself and the bag out of the truck before she shut the door and locked it. Taking another deep breath, the young Druid made her way to the front door of the large home. Wow…if only Auntie had a house this big, she thought to herself as she stepped up on the porch and walked along the house. She knocked on the door firmly, but not loudly since, well, they were werewolves. They probably heard her truck in the drive way and wondered who in the hell that was. So, she stood there, clutching the gym bag with one hand while the other hung next to her thigh, her thumb looped through her belt loop. She had changed since Hykeem had seen her at the gym. A white tank top, a leather jacket, and a pair of jeans were now on her instead of her shorts and black work out top, after a shower that Peter was nice enough to let her take, of course.
