The shadows of the night

Hykeem once again walked alone in the woods unaware of any presence other than his own. Although it was rather dark the boys supernatural eye sight allowed him to see clear as were day. His eyes fully adjusted to the dark environment. Hykeem walked the cool breeze of the night blowing on his neck softly his mind cloded again by thoughts. The boy had been having weird dreams the last few nights and in each the woods played a key environmental role. Due to this Hykeem decided to take a walk the woods hoping that maybe he would fight the answer to why he was having these dreams.

Hykeem walked almost carelessly through the woods his scent well hidden and his senses keen. At first the young man walked along a frail path that lead him deeper and deeper on his path into the dark woods the path soon becoming nothing more than the forest floor. As the path got shorter Hykeem couldn't help but step on fallen leaves on his path to uncovering the mysteries of his dreams.

As the boy moved slowly on his path a sudden scent appearing through the woods ahead of him. At first Hykeem just ignored the smell but as he moved further on his path it became stronger and he just had to know what or who it was. The boy stopped on his path through the woods and began following the scent of whatever it was . As the boy moved closer the boy could almost smell the fear dripping from the persons mind. Hykeem stopped for a moment the movement of the other being getting faster right before Hykeem heard the sound of a scream coming a few paces ahead of him.

The sounds of the screams almost scared Hykeem. The boy stopped a second before reacting in the best way he could.  Hykeem ran towards the sounds a small figure who layed fallen on the ground. "Are you okay?" Hykeem asked the person who he now could tell was Snow white herself.  Well not exactly Snow White but Aika the delightful girl he had run into many times before this one. "I don't remember this being in the Snow White stories we read in class as a child." he laughed taking the girls hand and helping her up.

Hykeem laughed abit as the girl stood up infront of him. The woods she had spoke before now setting in."You mean the part where she runs through the woods screaming? I think we've read different books." Hykeem listened until the the girl paused putting in his two sense. "I think so also." Hykeem laughed. "Maybe I just didn't listen carefully." When the lad finished speaking the girl thanked him for helping her up before jumping right back on the subject. "Are you sure this is snow white? Following girls around in the middle of the nights in the woods, sounds more like red riding hood. You aren't the big bad wolf?" The boy looked at the girl his confidence boosted. He knew what he was talkin about even if she didn't. He was about to let her know. "Your right im not the big bad wolf. I'm more of the hunter sent to find snow white but lets her go after meeting her but you know maybe I do have the stories mixed up."

After he finished talking Hykeem looked over the girl as she stood not far fromthe girl the moonlight hitting them both just right. "Why are you out here?" The girl asked as Hykeem noticed a small leaf in her beautiful white hair. The boy reached for the leave slowly gently pulling it from the girls hair before answering the girls question. "Well lately I've been having these dreams." As the boy spoke he looked away from the girl not wanting to see her reaction when he spoke. "In each one I end up in the woods by a tree. It doesn't seem like a regular tree but every time im about to inspect it. I wake up." 

Once he was done Hykeem looked up to the girl thinking so much about a subject changer that he forgot to ask Aika why she had been in the woods. She had to have a good reason. Normal teens just didn't stay in the woods like this.

Hykeem stood a self-conscious look on his face after the girls reacted to what he said exactly the way he thought she would. The Lad didn't understand why what she said hit so hard. They were words an average teenage girl in her situation would speak and yet they were still an expression changer for him. "No! I mean it's not that your weird it's just that the situation is weird I mean.... I kind of am here because of the same thing... I mean like it's not my dreams. Not just my dreams ever since I ran into you before. When I was in the forest it was like....it was calling me." Hykeem listened to the girl carefully as she spoke his mind only drawing one conclusion. The two of them meeting had to be destiny. Maybe the girl was meant for him and or maybe she wasn't but that wasn't the point. The two had only meet to times before once in the woods and the other in a small new shop in the shopping district yet each time they were drawn to each other and now they both stood standing in front of each other in the middle of the night. There was something going on and Hykeem figured it just had to be something of supernatural presence. 

The Alpha looked over to the girl who was reasonable shorter than him her words making him think almost harder than he had ever before. "Not just dreams ever since I ran into you before..." The Lad kept reapeting in his mind before the girl spoke once again. "but now you must think I'm weird." Hykeem watched over the girl as she spoke shaking his head. "No I've seen weirder things here in Beacon Hills. Matter of fact I've been dealing with them myentire life. So this...well this is nothing." As the lad finished speaking a smile moved across his face as he tried to lighten the mood before he spoke once again. "Maybe you could help me discover the meaning of my dreams?" The young man paused a quick second wiping the sweat from his nose. "And maybe in return I can help you with whatever you need help with." With the lad looked up into the night sky quickly taking in the light view before looking back down to the girl. "So it's a deal?" He asked the girl extendedinghis right arm gesturing for a hand shake. After all no deal was ever made without the proper handshake if it included Hykeem.

Hykeem stood watching the girl as she slowly moved her hand to his hesitating at first. "....deal."  he listened to the girl speak her hand finally meeting his. The Lad was kinda glad when the girls hand meet his. After all there was something pulling them both to the woods and ultimately together. Hykeem breathed in stepping back from the girl. " So did you want to start this deal exploring the forest...or did you want to start it walking me home." Hykeem looked at the girl when she spoke these words a smile on his face and a bold remark moving towards his lips. "We haven't even been on a date yet." the laughed  after he finished speaking his words only a joke.

The Alpha looked over to the girl his smile still on his face. "I think I better walk you home!" he said looking around trying to see if he noticed anything familiar. "Wouldn't want a pretty little lady like you in the woods any longer than you need be." The boy listened to himself as he spoke his creep voice on and fully active. "I...don't know where I am."  the girl spoke as Hykeem looked back over to her. He could tell the girl was playing with him even if she was lost. She had a smirk on her face that told him so. "Or do you also not know where we are?" Hykeem stared the girl down as she spoke these words before he turned examining the environment. The lad really didn't know where the pair where. Matter of fact he didn't even know if they were still in the preserve or not but once again he couldn't let the facts be known. The Alpha looked around one more time before bringing his eyes back to the girls. "I know exactly where we are. I can guarantee that! The preserve is like my second home." He spoke before breathing in a long breathe of air. This was going to be a long night.

"Liar." Hykeem listened to the girl speak with a playful voice that let him know she was on to him. The boy tried to hide his laugh as a confused looked drove it way out and onto his face making as if he was being honest. "Come on Huntsmen we'll go find our way out together." A burst of warmth went through Hykeem as the girl grabbed his hand after she spoke pulling him with her as she began to move through the woods."I thought we had established that lies aren't very becoming of us."  Hykeem was still following behind the girl as she spoke these words. "Your right! We have!" The boy laughed a smile on his face.

The Alpha followed carefully behind the young girl a soft breeze of air brushing it's way carefully past his skin. The boy didn't know what it was but something was pulling him in the direction the wind was blowing and he could tell it was doing the same for Aika also.  "Let's go this way." Hykeem heard the girl say as she looked back at him. At first Hykeem hesitated to follow the girl. Why he didn't know but there was something rather different about part of the woods then he noticed in the others. "Alright." the Lad spoke allowing the girl to pull him through the woods and in the direction she wanted to go.

"Are you sure about this?" Hykeem asked the girl still hesitating a bit his senses kicking in. As the two moved deeper through the path the wind lead Hykeem began to get comfortable with the pool of the wind the cool of the wind comforting him once more on their path through the woods.

Hykeem stood staring at the clearing thathe would not have predicted it being there only minutes before. The Lad stood the girl Aika up against him before he stepped back a step. There was something different about this area. It was rather cold and Hykeem began to shiver standing there. He watched as Aika stood in front of him. "Is that snow?" The boy asked pointing up at the flaky percipitation that now fell from the sky only within the clearing. "It is isn't it?" 


The Alpha stood clearly confused about what was going on. "How's it snowing mid summer?" Hykeem didn't know what to say or do. It was literally snowing in the summer and he wasn't even closely prepared for anything to happen beyond that. Hykeem looked up to the sky and then back down at Aika. "Damn it's cold."

"Are you cold?" The boy asked the girl before taking off his beanie."This is literally all I can offer you but I guess it'll keep your ears warm."

Hykeem stood watching Aika as she took his beanie placing it perfectly and gently back on his head. Hykeem figured the girl wasn't as cold as he was but the fact that she began catching the snow flakes only approved his predictions.


The Alpha stood as the girl gestured for him to take her hand a laugh coming from his throat. The boy slowly hesitated to takd the girls hand at first but when he finally did the weirdest thing happened. Something straight out of a fairy tale. As the two stood hands locked a gust of wind swirled snow around them both. To be honest it was rather cool but then something began to happen.

The Lads abilities were being forced out and he couldn't take any control of them. It was like something stronger thepan himself wanted his inner wolf to become his appearance but what for? 

As Hykeem stood directly in front of Aika a silver glow began to come over her. Something he hadn't noticed until his Alpha Sight was forced out. That's cool! The boy thought to himself as he watched Aika not yet sure if he should tell her about it a confused look on his face.
