Personality: valentina is the type of girl who people thought was a bit odd at times as she was shy, quiet and reserved. she may kept to herself, but people would say she's a smart, witty, and down to earth girl. people often compare valentina's personality to her sister's lydia's personality, as they were two different people. this often frustrate her as she wasn't nothing like lydia, she may love her sister, but she was done being compared to her older sister. valentina loves to cook and learn new recipes as she felt at ease with the home sense of feelings the kitchen gave her. she uses cooking as her escape from everyday drama of her home and school. Mother: gabriella braxley (biological mother); natalie martin (adopted mother) Father: jeff martin (biological father) Children: n/a Pets: n/a Others: lydia martin (half-sister) History: valentina was the result of a one night stand between two drunk individuals. her mother never saw fit to alert her father that she had gotten pregnant and instead toughed it out on her own. during valentine's birth, gabriella lost a lot of blood and ended up passing away on the operating table shortly after alerting a nurse about the identity of the baby's father. the child became a ward of the state until her father could be alerted. once her existence was brought to the attention of his family, it caused some strife between the adults. they already had a child and with the arrival of another, their marriage became flimsy at best. yet they still took the child, knowing that if she would suffer more in the world without at least a person. when valentina was six years old, she was an outgoing, bubbly, hyper girl. she had no care in the world as she was a child who's imagination ran wild, but one day a new student had turn her world upside down as she was picked on and tormented for being different. at first she brushed it off, thinking she was jealous of the way she looked. it slowly progressed into something of hatred. valentina was so confused to why she was hated on by something of being who she was at her age. little did she know that the person soon turned everyone against her by spreading rumors, making her what people has called her now, a loner, forcing her to keep to herself and focus on the things that mattered to her, her family, and her reading. valentina always felt different from the rest of her family as she grew up. Valentina was fourteen when she found her birth certificate, she was confused to why her mom natalie's name wasn't on there, but only her dad's name was there, in place of birth mother, it read gabriella, she was shocked and confused, so she told lydia about the news of her being her step-sister, she was upset that no one had told her she wasn't her mom's little girl, she was someone's little girl, so she went to confront natalie, whom she all of her life called mom about the birth certificate, her mom broke down explaining how her birth mother died in childbirth from blood loss giving birth to her, and she told her that her dad is her actual dad, and that she was the result of a drunken night, which strained hers and her husband's relationship. valentina was angry at her dad for never telling her about her birth mother and how she came to be in the family, she avoided her parents as much as possible for a couple of days, as she was still upset with everything and leaned on lydia for support as she was coming to terms of who she actually was and decided that even if they weren't really sisters, they are sisters by heart. as she and lydia grew up together, they were different, it was impossible for her to make friends as her quiet interior forced her to close off of any interaction with anyone who came in contact with her. she noticed her sister was acting strange after she was in the hospital thus forcing their dad to leave as he claimed this town was too much for him to handle and that he didn't want to stay any more longer than he already had, which made valentina angry as she felt that he had abandoned his two little girls. as soon as their father left them to fend for themselves, she took upon herself in cooking and finds that she was excellent in cooking as the time went on and the hobby of cooking made her feel at ease, she made sure the food was decent for everyone to taste, as she was unsure of her skills, even though she was praised in it. The end of the year was rolling around quicker than Valentina could imagine, and this year was important. Her grades needed to be perfect so she could further her education and get into a college of her choice. But with new adventures around the corner came new dangers as well. The young woman was something else, something more. Her parental lineage lead to the discovery that would rock the foundations of her life. She was special, she could create and control fire. Wondering if her sister, Lydia was like her she approached her cautiously but trustingly, everything was about to change, Valentina’s Supernatural side was coming forth and nothing was about to stop it from exploding. valentina was taking a study break at the public library to study for her exams as she wanted to get a good grade on it and pass her exams before the ending of the school year. when she saw what time it was, she muttered a 'crap' as she scrambled to get going to her car as she was late for her curfew which was 11pm and the time is 12am to which she moaned out, 'sooo grounded.' she frowned as she heard a noise from the woods and looks to see in the night as she called out, "hello? anyone there?" she asked as she was trying to see what was going on, until a wolf came out of hiding and ran towards her, howling into the air as it took off. as the young wolf's howl had triggered a new danger for her as she's never encountered a wolf, she wasn't sure why there was even one in beacon hills. she had decided to to tell lydia that she was something, something that can create and control fire, she had hopes that her sister might have a knowledge of what she was and she trusted lydia's judgement about everything as they were getting closer with each other about the supernatural side of her. she told lydia that she remembered the fire she accidentally started when she spilled a little oil on a burner, after receiving news from her parents about lydia's disappearance from the hospital after being bitten by a wolf, she was scared as well as worried since she cares so much for her sister and she wanted her home safe. seeing the fire lulled her freak out as the kitsune in her reacted and felt herself putting her hand over the fire before it spread and it disappeared as quickly as it was there in the moment. valentina is still unsure about who or what she is, she is frightened yet eager to find out more about herself as the time went on, and the fire control she apparently has strengthend as she had experimented on some things and decided to not tell anyone until she was absolutely sure of herself and her abilities . valentina had realized that she was more that a normal human girl and that the martin's were not her birth parents. her dad, jeff martin is her birth parent it all became to much for her, she sat down on her bed, closing her eyes trying to hold back her tears. this was all so much for her to accept, to believe. how could she had not known that she was a fire kitsune? how could her own family not tell her that she was adopted? as valentina searched the answers to how it was possible she was something that she has no idea about, she decided to wait and talk to someone about this, for she's afraid of who she is and why all of a sudden she was the way she is right now. lydia had explained there was a bestiary on supernatural beings, and kitsunes were on the list that could explain what she is, and what her powers were and what she actually can do as a kitsune. she felt unsure of what the bestiary would tell her, but she went ahead and started to read the book as she was feeling curious of what her status is and how to maintain her abilities so it doesn't harm anyone she cares for and loves. Lydia had explained the different creatures that was in the book she also told her of her and their friend scott's supernatural being which is a wolf, the reason lydia told her is to help valentina understand that she can trust her and scott with her secret as she didn't want anyone to know quite yet of what is she and to be cautious about the people she may encountered. valentina just wanted to be a normal girl in a normal family as she was before she heard the wolf. in that moment, it clicked. she needed to find the wolf that she had heard howl. maybe he would be able to help her and understand what she was becoming. little did she know that the moment she would walk out that door. little did she know that her own sister was as a different as she was. valentina had no idea that lydia was a banshee or that her own friends were part of the supernatural circle but the moment that she saw lydia with scott who had been the young wolf that triggered valentina's change, she knew that she was going to be part of something far greater than she had realized....her life would forever change and there was no going back now. as valentina learned more about her kitsune status, the more she was curious at how she can do this many powers that her own persona is dealing with. she realized that she has to control her own powers as she doesn't have anyone to help her with the new found powers she may have possessed as she went along. RP Sample: valentina sighed as she woke up from a dreamless sleep that caused her to wake up repeatedly as she was struggling to cope with the idea of something new was happening and she didn't like change as she was more of the keep the same pattern, as she was unwillingly the shy and reserved person. as she got up from her bed and made it, she decided to get ready as she remembered she took a decent shower the night before as she wanted to escape lydia's chiding look at her outfit, knowing she'll disapprove the way it looked. she didn't care about what she looks like, all she cares for is food, her two best friends, scott and stiles, as they were the ones who helped her during elementary school when someone bullied her for being a different person besides being lydia's sister. she sighed as she made her way down the stairs, her bag and purse in one hand, her car keys in the other, she made her way to the kitchen to grab a quick bite to eat and looks towards her mom and smiled as she kisses her cheek, "good morning mom, i will see you later after school, i have to hurry and get going as i'm meeting scott and stiles before the first bell rings." she said as she waved a quick goodbye and hurried out the door and opens the driver's side of the door and slides in, she buckled up and shut the door before turning on the ignition. as soon as she pulled the car into drive, she set off for school as she noticed the time and sees she's running a tiny bit early and shrugs it off as the boys wouldn't care if she was early or late, they would fill her in of their recent troublemaking ways and chuckles as she remembered one story and shook her head as she pulled into the school parking lot and parks before getting out and ran up to the school steps and looks for scott and stiles before smiling lightly and shoves them both as she reached them with ease. |
