Lydia smiled when Valentina said that she might like a boy in her class. Lydia immediately sat upright and gripped the wheel. "What? What's his name? is he older? What's he like? Is he smart?" Lydia smiled wide, thriving on the need to know about someone's life in order to distract her from her own. When Valentina brought up Lydia shutting her out, she kind of ignored it. She knew Valentina meant well, but there was only so much she could do to help. So instead, Lydia just kind of kept going on the topic of this boy. "Come on don't change the subject baby sis. Tell me everything!"
Lydia looked at the road, before glancing at her sister and winking. It had been a while since Lydia had actually had a crush on someone, Since Jackson maybe? That was mostly because after he turned into a homicidal lizard, Beacon Hills sort of exploded supernatural beings and she hadn't had time to develop any crushes. Sure, there was Aiden, but Lydia always thought of him as more of a distraction than anything.
Then for some strange reason, Lydia's mind travelled to Stiles. The boy who'd loved her forever, and she'd only began to notice. She didn't love him. At least, She didn't think so. He was just sort of special in her life. Without him there was a whole in her heart and her life would slowly crumble. And she was whitnessing it now, because he was shutting everyone out. Shutting Lydia out. And Lydia forced herself to stop thinking of that strange boy that made her heart ache and race at the same time and focus on her sister. "Come on don't be shy with me now."
