canons this is a list of Canon characters within the world of Teen wolf. If you intend on taking a canon character you must create a VERY detailed application, an admin will then decide if you are suitable for that role or not. open reserved Derek Hale Derek hale - Beta werewolf - 23 years old - open Derek was born into a family of werewolves. His mother, Talia, was much respected within the werewolf community meaning Derek came into contact with members of a number of other packs. He and his family lived in Hale House in Beacon Hills, California and he attended Beacon Hills High School. Peter Hale claims a 15-year-old Derek conspired with an Alpha (Ennis) to have Derek's girlfriend (Paige) bitten in hopes of turning her into a werewolf. The process didn't take and, to end her suffering, Derek killed her. Having taken an innocent life, his eyes changed from yellow to blue. Sometime later, Derek entered into a relationship with werewolf hunter Kate Argent. She used him to gather information on his family making him an unwitting accomplice to the arson fire at Hale House that killed most of his family. After his Uncle Peter killed the conspirators involved in the fire, Derek killed him and took the status of Alpha Werewolf. In order to save the life of his sister Cora, long thought dead in the fire, Derek gave up the spark that made him an Alpha. His eyes turned from red back to blue. Scott mccall scott mccall - Alpha werewolf - 17 years old - open Scott was an average teenager when Alpha werewolf Peter Hale bit him. Prior to becoming a werewolf, Scott lacked athletic skill and required a rescue inhaler to treat his asthma. The transformation into a werewolf turned him into a superb athlete and also seems to have cured his asthma. Scott attends Beacon Hills High School in Beacon Hills, California, where he is captain of the lacrosse team and runs cross country. His parents are divorced. Scott lives with his mother Melissa McCall a nurse at the Beacon Hills Hospital. Scott's Dad is a field agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He recently returned to Beacon Hills. Scott has an after school job at the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic as an assistant to his mentor Dr. Deaton. Originally, Scott sees his new life as a werewolf as more of a curse than a gift. Later, he embraces his new abilities as a means to help people. Scott now struggles to protect the people he loves and handle an endless stream of supernatural threats. He is aided by his best friend Stiles Stilinski, friend (and Banshee) Lydia Martin, and fellow werewolves Derek Hale and Isaac Lahey. Stiles Stilinski Stiles is a student at Beacon Hills High School and the son of Beacon County's Sheriff Stilinski. His mother, Claudia Stilinski, died 6 years ago. He was present when she passed and has never gotten over her death. For some unknown reason, Stiles blames himself. He was a geeky but otherwise normal kid before a werewolf bit his best friend and threw his world into constant chaos. Stiles is sarcastic, funny and outspoken. He is extremely clever and has led the way in working through many of the mysteries of the show. He is a bit frustrated that the werewolf bite has cast him as Robin to Scott’s Batman but he is a solid friend and loyal to a fault. For the longest time he held an intense but unrequited love for fellow classmate Lydia Martin. Their relationship has grown into a strong friendship. While they have a typically combative parent/teenager relationship, Stiles loves his father very much and often worries about his safety. Peter hale Peter Hale was born a werewolf and was with his extended family when the Hale House was attacked by arsonists. He was one of the two of the known survivors of the fire, the other being Cora Hale. He was left comatose and badly scarred in a long term care facility in Beacon Hills. His werewolf nature allowed him to heal completely, albeit slowly, over the intervening years. He then tricked his niece, Laura Hale, into returning to town and killed her so that he could become an Alpha werewolf and seek revenge on those who he blamed for the fire that killed his family. His single minded efforts to kill the guilty led to his death at the hands of his nephew, Derek Hale Very intelligent and calculating, Peter had a backup plan. Just before his death he somehow infected Lydia Martin with a portion of his spirit through which he was able to give her instructions on how to fully revive his corpse. Kira Yukimura Kira Yukimura - kitsune - 17 years old - open Kira and her family move from New York to Beacon Hills a few weeks before the events of Season 3(b). Kira's mom is Japanese while her father is Korean. Her mother's family has a connection to Beacon Hills going back generations. Her father claims Kira hasn't made any friends during her first three weeks in school but she is not shy and boldly inserts herself into a private conversation with Scott and his friends. Kira and Scott are beginning a romantic relationship. Kira seemed to exhibit a supernatural ability by absorbing dozens of megawatts (estimate) of electricity into her hands. Flash photography and Scott's enhanced werewolf vision reveal the glowing outline of a fox surrounding Kira's entire body. Isaac lahey When we first meet Isaac, he is working late at night at his job at the graveyard when something knocks over his backhoe dropping him into an empty grave. He then witnesses something digging up a grave. Derek Hale helps him climb out of the grave. During an interview with Sheriff Stilinski, it is hinted that Isaac's father abuses him, as evidenced by a black eye that he claims he got playing lacrosse. Isaac accepts the bite willingly from Derek before his father is killed by an unknown creature. An exploration of his home showed his father locked him in a freezer chest and abused him often. He escaped police custody and is on the run. Isaac is revived by jumper cables, attached to a car battery and applied to his chest. His mysterious rescuer then attempts to get him to safety on a motorcycle. They are pursued by twin werewolves and crash. At the hospital, he is drugged into unconsciousness by another werewolf and then kidnapped by a third. As he grieves for Allison, he discovers that silver is what caused the Oni she shot at to die. He and Chris retrieve Allison's silver arrowheads and help Derek and the Twins destroy the Oni. Lydia martin Lydia Martin seems, on the surface at least, to be shallow and bratty but this is an elaborate act. She possesses a genius level IQ, is well versed in chemistry and understands both classical and archaic Latin. She is also one of the most fashionable and popular students at Beacon Hills High School. She hides her intellect in order to retain this social status. Lydia has been shown to be manipulative with her friends, using them when it suits her ambitions. She is also, like most teenagers, overly sensitive and emotional in matters of the heart. Her relationship with Jackson Whittemore at first seemed to simply be part of her plan to remain popular but she truly loved him. It was her love for Jackson that saved his life, allowing him to change from Kanima to Werewolf. The events with Jackson and his abrupt move to London, England seemed to leave Lydia emotionally numb. She took a number of lovers over the summer and has expressed a "love them and leave them" philosophy. She's entered into a purely physical relationship with a werewolf - Aiden. She is aware that he is using her and is willing to use him to advance her friends efforts to defeat The Alpha Pack. It remains to be seen how the knowledge that she is a Banshee will change her worldview but so far she's expressed a willingness to use her powers to help people. Melissa Mccall In Magic Bullet Scott explained to Allison that his parents are divorced. Melissa explained to Mr. Harris in The Tell that she and her son were better off without Scott's father in the picture. In Co-Captain she went on her first date in a long time with Peter Hale. It was ruined by Stiles and Scott who feared Hale would try to bite her and make her a werewolf. In Formality we see how lonely Mrs. McCall’s life has become as she sits and cries in her car over the failed date, Later we see her helping Scott get ready for the formal, and she unknowingly gives her son the confidence to somehow tell Allison he is a werewolf. After finding out the truth of Scott's werewolf abilities she has trouble dealing. When Gerard and the Kanima hold her hostage, she tells Scott to give him what ever he wants. She has a change of heart when later she realizes that something dangerous is happening at the championship lacrosse game. She refuses to leave and tells her son to do whatever he must to help. She attacked by the Oni and makes her ex-husband promise that if she does not make it, he will try to make things work with him and Scott. She later consoles her son when he has a chance to cry for Allison's death. Sheriff Stilinski Sheriff Stilinski - Human - 43 years old - open He struggled to solve what appear to be a series of deadly animal attacks. He would often go to the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic to get an idea of what could have caused the attack. However, Dr. Deaton never really gives him a clear answer, which makes Stilinski suspicious of him. He pieces together that the Hale fire was indeed arson. At the Hale House he finds the body of Kate Argent and the necklace connecting her to the crime. He was removed from his post as Sheriff because Stiles behavior was reflecting badly on the county. Specifically, because Stiles stole the department's van and was placed under a restraining order. After Stiles comes home after going missing at the game, he embraces his son. When Lydia leaves Stilinski has a heart to heart talk with Stiles. He tells him that when everything seemed hopeless, Stiles was the "hero" at the game. The Sheriff is kept busy as the body count rises. He's first called to the woods after a young girl disappears then investigates the boy's body found at the public pool. Stilinski recruits Chris, Derek, and Allison to help find a way to capture the Nogitsune and save Stiles. He later comforts Allison when she emotionally opens up with her insecurities. We also learn that he once served in the army. Rafe Mccall Rafe mccall - human - 41 years old - Open Agent McCall is estranged from his son for an unknown length of time. Scott mentions once during Pack Mentality that he was living with his father at a time when he was old enough to ride the bus to school. McCall was a heavy drinker judging by a story he told about coming home drunk and mistaking the closet for the toilet. He's been away from Beacon Hills and returns to gather evidence of incompetence against Sheriff Stilinski. While this is a recent occurrence, it appears the two men have a previous history of conflict and dislike. Alan Deaton Alan Deaton - druid - 45 years old - open He is a Veterinarian at Beacon Hills Animal Clinic where he is Scott McCall’s boss. He is the former Druid Emissary to The Hale Family and becomes a mentor to Scott and his friends on all things supernatural. He's the older brother of Beacon Hills High School French teacher/guidance counselor Ms. Morrell who is also a Druid. cora hale cora hale - beta werewolf - 17 years old - open She is Derek Hale’s younger sister and is a werewolf. Derek was surprised that she had survived the Hale House fire that claimed most of their family. In Riddled, Derek reveals that Cora was in South America during her six year absence. Cora attempts to attack Aiden in the locker room, but she is defeated by the stronger Alpha. Oddly enough, Cora sustains a head injury during the fight, but it does not heal. She eventually ends up in the hospital. Cora is close to death. Derek tries to help her heal by taking her pain away, in the end he gives up his 'spark' which makes him an alpha in order to save his sister. Deucalion Deucalion speaks with British accent. He was an Alpha in 1977 and, according to Gerard Argent, bit and turned Hunter Alexander Argent. Sometime later he returned with his pack to Beacon Hills at the behest of fellow Alpha Ennis to seek vengeance on Gerard and Chris Argent for the death of one of Ennis' Betas. Instead, Deucalion sought peace, first meeting with Alpha Talia Hale and then with Gerard. The meeting with Gerard was a trap and Deucalion was blinded. While still recovering, one of his Betas attempted to take over and Deucalion killed him. In doing so he learned that Alphas become stronger when they kill their own Betas. He then convinced both Ennis and Kali to kill their packs and join him, creating the Alpha Pack. When he returned to Beacon Hills he wore dark glasses and carried a cane with a spearhead concealed beneath the red tip at the bottom. Susan Martin susan martin - human - 45 years old - Open In Season 1 she and her husband bicker during Parent/Teacher conferences at Beacon Hills High School. She claims her husband "warped" Lydia by forcing her to choose with which of her parents she wanted to live. In Season 3, Mrs. Martin is supportive after Lydia is attacked and nearly strangled to death by Jennifer Blake. She offers her daughter advice on make up to cover the ligature marks, comparing the marks on her daughter's neck to the hickeys she received in her own youth. She takes over teaching Beacon Hills High School science classes after the death of Adrian Harris. Jeff Martin Jeff Martin - Human - 45 years old - open In Season 1 he seems ready for the worst as he and Lydia's mother meet with Lydia's teachers. He's expecting "bad grades, concentration issues, bad behavior." We don't see his reaction to learning that Lydia is the smartest and most popular girl in school. In Season 2, as Lydia recovers from the attack during the school dance, her father stays with her at the hospital. Bobby Finstock bobby finstock - human - 51 years old - Open Bobby is a teacher of Economics and Physical Education at Beacon Hills High School. He is also the coach of the school’s lacrosse team, the BHHS Cyclones. Coach Bobby is eccentric in behavior and appearance. His hair is usually unkempt and his office, glimpsed in The Tell, seems much disorganized. He seems to care more about the success of students on the field than in the classroom offering good grades for his players in exchange for various tasks. An unseen student and member of the lacrosse team named "Greenberg" is often the focus of Coach Finstock's ire. In all Seasons to date he's kept up a running verbal assault of Greenberg often blaming him for the team's failings and mocking his skills in the classroom. Braeden Braeden - Human - 25 years old - open Braeden was the Mystery Girl who saved Isaac Lahey during the opening minutes of Tattoo. She was apparently killed by The Alpha Pack in the same episode. She was not named in the series until Episode 311, Alpha Pact, when Ms. Morrell admits she sent Braeden to help Isaac. She made a surprise return in More Bad Than Good with visible scars from her encounter with the Alpha Pack. She claims she was paid to rescue Isaac from the Alphas and has since taken a contract from Deucalion who paid her to find and rescue Derek Hale. Araya CALAVARA Araya calavara - human - 62 years old - Open Araya is a hunter first seen questioning Derek and Peter in More Bad Than Good. She, like her henchmen, want to know the location of "La Loba". Later she visits Chris Argent in jail and chastises him for trying to retire from hunting. Chris Argent Chris Argent - Human - 45 years old - open With the exception of his father, Gerard, Chris' entire family is dead. His sister Kate Argent was killed by Peter Hale in Season 1. His wife Victoria Argent took her own life in Season 2. His daughter Allison Argent was killed by a demon in Season 3. Much of the Argent family history remains a mystery but we know they've been hunting werewolves for several generations, perhaps as long as 200 years Despite acts of intimidation with Derek Hale and violence against Scott McCall, Chris has not actually killed a werewolf on the show. Conrad Fenris Conrad Fenris - human - 54 years old - Open He is a werewolf mythology expert, though he has tried to suppress that information by changing his name. Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski track him down in Teen Wolf: Search for a Cure. The boys are unsuccessful at getting any help from Dr. Fenris and in desperation try to break into his house for answers. When they are caught in the act Scott is able to talk the gun-wielding doctor down and persuade him to answer some of their questions. As they talk, the doctor reveals that he met one of Derek Hale’s relatives in Wisconsin. She had been shot by an arrow which was claimed to be a hunting accident by the people that brought her in. After he removed the arrow the wound healed as if it had never been there. The incident made him aware of the existence of werewolves and those that hunt them, and drove him to an obsessive study of werewolves. But despite the depth of his knowledge about werewolves he is not aware of any cure for the condition. By the time Scott and Stiles meet the doctor he has come to doubt the existence of werewolves, question his study and himself. The boys are disappointed that Dr. Fenris can not help them, but sympathetic to what the doctor has been through. As they leave Scott quietly lets the doctor know that he is a werewolf and that all of his study was not just a silly obsession. Fenris and jackson He also appeared in the episode Wolf's Bane where he has a look at Jackson Whittemore’s scratches on his neck. He also tells him he has “aconite poisoning” which heightens Jackson’s suspicions about Scott being a werewolf. Meredith Walker Meredith Walker - banshee - 18 years old - open Meredith Walker is a Banshee first seen talking into a dead telephone receiver in Echo House. Her abilities apparently led her to be committed at the Eichen House Mental Health facility in Beacon Hills. She escaped Eichen House and made her way to Beacon Hills High School in Insatiable. There she is able to communicate with fellow Banshee Lydia Martin. Deputy Parrish Deputy Parrish - human - 24 years old - Open Deputy Parrish moved to Beacon Hills after the events of Season 3(a). He tells Sheriff Stilinski that he felt “drawn here” and sought a job despite the mortality rate among Beacon Hills Deputies. Parrish is ex-military and trained as part of a "Hazardous Device Team" meaning he dealt with bombs and explosive materials. danny Māhealani danny Māhealani - human - 17 years old - open According to Stiles, everybody likes Danny. He was Jackson Whittemore’s best friend and a fellow Lacrosse player. Danny often tried to be a calming force to Jackson's high strung personality. He is number 6 on the team and plays goalie. Danny identifies himself as gay. A running joke during Season 1 involved Stiles wondering aloud and then directly asking if Danny thought he was attractive. Danny has had one of the more interesting relationship arcs within the show. We've seen him bring his boyfriend to the formal in Season 1, suffering a break-up and rebound in Season 2 and beginning to date an Alpha Werewolf in Season 3. Kate argent kate argent - werejaguar - 31 years old - Open Kate Argent is the sister of Chris Argent, aunt of the late Allison Argent, and the sister-in-law of the late Victoria Argent. Kate was a member of a group of Werewolf Hunters. She was thought killed by Alpha Werewolf Peter Hale at the end of Season 1 but in the finale of Season 3, she returns to Beacon Hills as some, heretofore unseen, supernatural creature known as "La Loba" by the Spanish speaking hunters chasing her. Her grave remains in Beacon Hills Cemetery. The gravestone reads "KATHERINE ARGENT 1983-2011" Though she was dead at the end of Season 1 and buried at the beginning of Season 2, it appears Kate has returned to Beacon Hills as some, heretofore unseen, supernatural creature known as "La Loba" to the Spanish speaking hunters chasing her. Ken Yukimura ken yukimura - human - 43 years old - open Ken Yukimura is Kira Yukimura's father and the new History teacher at Beacon Hills High School. Ken Yukimura is of Korean descent. He took his wife’s family name when they married because she was the only surviving member of her line. They explain that they did not keep both names or do a hyphenate because they were married in Japan where the law says a couple must share the same name to belong to the same Koseki or family registry. Noshiko yukimura Noshiko yukimura - kitsune - over 900 years old - Open Noshiko was born sometime in the 12 century AD. This would place her birth in the Heian Period in Japan. In 1943, Noshiko was locked away in a United States Internment Camp for Japanese-Americans called Oak Creek. She was held prisoner under Executive Order 9066 which suspended the U. S. Constitution and took away the rights of thousands of American citizens. While at the camp, Noshiko fell in love with Corporal Rhys, a young army medic stationed there. She helped her fellow prisoners by stealing food and medicine from the Army and Rhys looked the other way to protect her. When an epidemic of pneumonia swept through the camp, it was learned that the doctor had been stealing and selling the drugs needed to treat the prisoners. A riot ensued in which Noshiko was shot several times. Despite her ability to heal, the bullets left her so weakened that she appeared dead. Rhys was badly burned and died a short time later at Eichen House. As her body was being taken with the rest to be burned as a way to cover up what had happened at the camp, Noshiko prayed to her ancestors to send a Nogitsune to inhabit her body so that she could seek revenge. Instead it chose to inhabit Rhys' body and then proceeded to kill everyone at the camp and at Eichen House. Noshiko managed to kill him and took the spirit of the Nogitsune (in the form of a fly) and buried it beneath the Nemeton. JACKSON WHITTEMORE jackson whittemore - omega werewolf - 17 years old - open jackson whittemore was adopted when he was a baby, his mother and father having died in a car accident. while jackson grew up happy with his laywer father and loving mother, the moment he found out he was adopted, he stopped saying that he loved them. finding out he was adopted lead for jackson to work himself into overdrive to become perfect. he was the best at everything, school, lacrosse, sex, everything. he had his best friend and fellow lacrosse player danny mahealani. he had the beautiful lydia martin by his side and the two ruled the school together until scott mccall came in and took it from him. since then, jackson hated scott and made himself work even harder and work even better. still, he wasn't better than scott as he had once been. he was sure it wasn't natural, whatever it was that scott was doing whether it performance enhancing drugs that was being dealt to him by derek hale or what have you and eventually, jackson fits it all together and deduces that scott is a werewolf. even so, jackson did everything in his power to try and become better and better, even seeking out scott to give him the bite and when he refused, he went to derek, who obliged. after turning, jackson's body rejected the bite which caused him to panic and become hostile towards everyone closest to him, including his girlfriend lydia martin, who soon became his ex-girlfriend seemingly out of no where. jackson had a plan to make it back to the top with this new bite, but all it did was make things worse for him. in the end, his nature had turned him into a creature known as a Kanima that was being used to kill people. after he and lydia made up, he returned to werewolf and his father sent him off to london, england where he's been spending his time away from his new friends. Malia tate Malia believes herself responsible for killing her mother and sister. She apparently lost control and transformed on a full moon while the three were riding in a car. She remained fully transformed and lived in a den near the crash site for eight years. She kept many of her human belongings and developed a sentimental attachment to her younger sister's doll. She is, at first, resentful that Scott McCall forced her to return to human form and is unable to change back. She was committed to Eichen House, a mental institution. Scott has been teaching Malia how to harness her shapeshifting abilities while Stiles Stilinski is helping her reintegrate into human society and think less like a coyote. She's now enrolled at Beacon Hills High School and is having difficulty catching up to her peers academically. |
