It had been a long time since Melissa and Scott McCall had bonded. With her working just about every shift she could get her hands on at the Hospital and Scott having school, lacrosse, and other supernatural things, the two hadn’t had much time to spend time together. Stiles had been spending time with a girl whose name Melissa didn’t know but she had sort of replaced Scott in a way when it came to Stiles. It was a little upsetting but the mother kept her mouth shut. The two would eventually talk it out despite how Melissa knew quite a few more things about Stiles at the moment. He had arrived at the house the other night, through the window, to see if Scott was home. It wasn’t until after a few moments that the two found the note he had left saying he was with Kira, which was typical. After that, the two bonded and talked about a few things.
Stiles had been losing sleep again and Melissa, worried for his health, prescribed him some sleeping medications that she knew he would need to take. She wanted to tell Scott, but that was a conversation for the two of them to have. After all, they were best friends, they would eventually get past all of this and when that happened, everything would be put out in the open and everything would be okay. Still, she doubted that Stiles would tell Scott right away. They tended to have more important things to deal with in Stiles’ mind and this shit with him would be something that he would keep from Scott until he deemed it important, or until Melissa opened her mouth and told her son for him. After all, Stiles was almost as much of a son as Scott was. She worried about him and her son equally, especially since they were both wrapped up in this supernatural mess.
Making sure to keep those thoughts away from the forefront of her mind, Melissa returned to cooking breakfast for her and her son. She was hoping that the two of them would be able to have a day together, assuming he hadn’t made any plans, of course. She didn’t want to get in the way of him living his life, but she missed spending time with her son. It was all she had wanted to do for quite some time, and today was the day that she wanted it to get done. So, she was cooking herself and Scott some breakfast, hoping that the smell of French toast and bacon would help to wake up her son. Then the two could talk and bond over breakfast, this was, of course, assuming that Scott was even up in his room. She hadn’t checked to see if he was still there when she woke up. She just sort of assumed that he was still in there. He had been last night, sleeping when she returned home from work…
