She who daydreams
Cierra hoped that her English teacher left the blinds closed in the classroom. It was embarrassing to ask if it was okay to leave them unopened due to how inattentive she was. English was actually one of her favorite subjects, but she was bad at organizing her ideas when it came to writing reports or short stories. The brunette paced back and forth outside of the classroom, her converse shoes squeaking as she did so. Why was she getting so worked up? She gently slapped her cheeks before strolling into the classroom. It was her way of trying to reassure herself.
Cierra liked the size of the class attendance. There were roughly twelve students and a small smile tugged on her lips. Her eyes quickly darted toward the windows and she breathed a sigh of relief. The blinds were pulled down. Hopefully she could keep herself focused. The adolescent sat toward the middle of the classroom and sat her messenger bag by her feet. The bell rang and she was expecting to get a lecture on the first day.
The first day assignment was to partner up with another student so they could get to know one another. Her brown orbs widened in horror. How was she supposed to do that when she was terrible at making small talk? Her eyes shifted from left to right as she saw her peers squabbling to partner up with people. She was internally screaming at herself. She gently tapped her fingers against her desk, wondering who she should pester.
Once everyone was settled down, she noticed that there was another individual who didn't have anyone to work with. That person was sitting right behind her. A smirk appeared on her face and she nodded at them shyly. Cierra seemed bashful at first, but once she was broken out of her shell, her personality was fierce.
"I usually don't like icebreaker assignments. I think they're kind of cheesy." she chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly.
