Derek Stephen Hale When we start killing It's all coming down right now From the nightmare we've created, I want to be awakened somehow Werewolf  Full Name: Derek Stephen Hale Nicknames: None Age: 23 Birthday: November 7, 1988 Gender: Male Sexuality: Pansexual Face Claim: Tyler Hoechlin Appearance: Derek is literally the man who most would avoid for he excludes an aura that screams troubled past and has an hint of an aura of danger. He is very much tall, well built and muscular with a strong, stern and stoic demeanor. His dark hazel eyes which often have flecks of blue in them reflect the pain and restraint he has had to live through in his life. He is almost always unshaven, having at least stubble. He has short black hair that is spiked with product. Often he is seen wearing a V-neck shirt or long sleeve t-shirts with his leather jacket with either sneakers/trainers or boots. Personality: To those who don’t know Derek personally he appears to cold, calculated and even cunning with an extensive knowledge base of Werewolves which ranges from what they can and cannot do. He also shows a desire to have a strong pack mentality like he had back when his mother Talia was an alpha. He almost never smiles or shows concern for others with the exception of others such as Scott and a few select people. Derek is very much gruff, rough and tough around the edges in form of temperament and has a somewhat short fuse. However underneath is the boy he was before he lost everything, which is devoted to his pack and anyone who he holds close and even though when he was an Alpha and he held his pack with an iron fist, he always showed he had the best interest in the pack and its members. Mother: Talia Hale (Deceased) Father: Unknown (Presumed Deceased) Children: None Pets: None Others: Laura Hale (Elder Sister, Deceased), Cora Hale (Younger Sister) and Peter Hale (Uncle) History: Derek was born into a family that consisted mostly of Born Werewolves. His mother Talia was respected with the community both supernatural and not supernatural. Meaning Derek came into contact with members of a number of packs. He grew up struggling with the wolf within but with the help of his Uncle Peter he eventually gained control using pain and anger as an anchor. Derek and his family lived in a mansion on the outskirts of Beacon Hills in the Preserve which has often be called the “Hale House”. He attended BHS where he played Basketball for the school team. Peter Hale claims that a 15 year old Derek conspired with Enis to turn his girlfriend at the time who was called Paige, yet not all Fairy tales have happy endings and she rejected the bite and in a moment of mercy Derek himself ended Paige’s life sparing her the pain. However the real story is that Peter planned the entire scheme which helped bring Peter closer to Derek. After these shattering events in Derek’s life his eyes went from a vibrant gold to cold steel blue with a haunted look in them due to him having taken an innocent life. Initially Scott blames Derek for turning him into a werewolf despite Derek claiming he was not responsible and that another werewolf who is The Alpha is the one who did the deed. Derek assumes the role of the mentor and even tries to be an older brother in role to Scott. He explains what it means to be a werewolf and how to control his new instincts and nature. he also is vigilant in keeping The Alpha away from Scott explaining the beast wants to kill with him and for Scott to join the Alpha’s pack. Derek tells Scott that if the Alpha finds him; Scott will have a choice Kill or be killed. When Kate Argent returns to Beacon Hills seeking the Alpha she shoots Derek with a bullet with Blue Nordic Blue Monkshood with in it on her night of arrival in Beacon Hills. Since the bullet is poisoned, it brings him to the brink of death. Both Scott and Stiles aided him by saving his life that day. Scott acquired another bullet from Kate’s belongings during a family dinner at the Argent Household. Derek cured himself by burning the powdered wolfsbane from the bullet and by putting the ash into his bullet wound. The Lead hunter of the Argent family, Chris Argent believed Derek knew the identity of the Alpha and ordered that he should be tracked down in hopes that he would lead them to the Alpha. yet when Derek revealed to Kate that he did not know, she tried to kill him despite the moral code that says not to kill a werewolf unless it's proven they have spilled human blood. Derek was attacked by the Alpha at BHS. He was attacked from behind and lifted of the ground as blood oozed from his mouth. There was much speculation that Derek was dead after this attack but he did regenerate and return. On the night of the full moon he seemed to have been fully recovered and stopped Scott from attacking Allison and Jackson. The two of them fought in the Woods until Scott came to his senses. Derek then tells Scott of a rumor that Scott could become human again if he kills the one who bit him but he does not know if it is true. Derek is forced on the run from the Hunters and the law because Scott told them he was responsible for the attacks at BHS durng “Night school”. Derek ends up hiding out at the Stilinski residence. Derek and Stiles lure Danny over to help them track down the cell phone that sent the message that lead Allison to danger during “Night School. Stiles introduces Derek as his “Cousin Miguel” and uses Danny’s obvious attraction to Derek to convince him to track down where the message came from. The message is tracked to Melissa McCall’s computer at Beacon Hills Hospital where Derek and Stiles find out the Alpha is Peter Hale whom has recovered. Uncle and Nephew clash whilst Peter claims he killed Laura by accident and that the other killings have been revenge against those who aided Kate when she burned down the “Hale House”. Derek reluctantly seems to join forces with his uncle and works to eliminate Jackson who discovered the truth behind Scott’s transformation. However he is soon captured by Kate and is chained up in the Basement of the Hale House. Kate uses an electric device to torture him in attempt to gain information on the Alpha. In a rude awakening with brutality; Kate introduces her niece Allison Argent to the concept of werewolves by showing her Derek on the rack he is being tortured on. However, Derek is rescued by Scott and they escape before they, along with the rest of the group and Chris Argent take out Peter Hale. The kids (Stiles, Jackson and Allison) cripple Peter by burning him with a molotov and Derek deals the final blow by raking his claws across Peter’s throat and assumes the role and powers of the Alpha. Derek is later confronted by Jackson Whittemore who demands to be bitten. Derek smirks and gives Jackson the bite. As a new Alpha, derek is focused on rebuilding his pack which his first item on his list is to try to recruit Scott but the offer is refused. Derek later finds Isaac cowering in a grave and offers to aid him. Later Isaac seeks him out and joins Derek’s pack as Derek’s first beta. Derek also forces Scott to watch as hunters kill an omega brutally in the woods to show him how dangerous it is to be an omega in attempt to bring Scott into the fold of his pack, this attempt fails. When Isaac’s father is murdered and Isaac is taken to jail. Derek shows up and asks Scott to help him get Isaac out of Jail. They go to Isaac’s house and find evidence of the abuse that happened to Isaac at the hands of Isaac’s father. Derek and Stiles both attempt to break Isaac out of Jail. Derek claims his next beta by seducing Erica Reyes by promising the bite will cure her epilepsy and the side effects from her medication. He then focuses on a loner who is unpopular called Boyd for his third beta. Scott confronts them at the skating rink and Derek injures him and the wound does not instantly heal. Derek trains Isaac and Erica to near exhaustion because the hunters are planning something and they have a new reptilian creature haunting the night as well. He is doing his best to keep them alive whilst passing on what knowledge he has as quickly as possible. When Derek and Stiles become trapped in the swimming pool in BHHS. he recognises the creature as a Kanima. After testing Kanima venom on Jackson; Jackson becomes paralyzed temporarily, Derek turns his attention to Lydia as to be the likely Kanima. Once Lydia shows an immunity to the venom, Derek is convinced she is the Kanima and plots to kill her. Scott tries to convince Derek that Lydia is simply immune but Derek stubbornly disagrees as he has never come across such an immunity. Yet he is half convinced when Scott points out that he does not know everything like when Jackson rejected the bite. After Scott, Stiles and Allison defeat both Erica and Isaac, Derek realises why Scott will never join his pack as Scott is a Alpha in his own right to his own pack with his human friends despite being an omega/beta. Derek and Jackson as the Kanima go head to head. even when Derek manages to get in a few hits but he mostly avoids the creatures poisoned claws until Chris Argent shows up and starts shooting. He tails the fleeing Kanima to the local gay club called the “Jungle” where it incapacitates several dancers including Danny. In the panic Derek wolfs out and uses his claws to tear out the Kanima’s throat. Derek informs Isaac and Erica they need to help Scott and his friends to stop the Kanima because it is more powerful then he first thought. After Erica is injured, he breaks her arm to trigger her healing factor. Scott proposes an alliance that is only temporary to stop the Kanima. Derek accepts as a term that Scott joins his pack. Scott works with Derek and Dr. Alan Deaton on a way to subdue Jackson when the time comes to put it into play. The hunters show up at the warehouse and start shooting. Boyd helps Derek fight off the hunters. Derek soon hears Scott’s pained howl and rushes to rescue Scott. He finds Scott being slowly suffocated by a vapor made from Wolfsbane and Victoria Argent attempts to attack him with a knife. Derek is overcome and even blinded by the vapor and Victoria beats Derek with ease and she escapes but not before Derek’s fangs pierce her shoulder which leads to her committing suicide rather than turning into a werewolf. Derek locks up his pack when the Full Moon hits since they don’t have enough control. The plan goes badly when the three escape. Lydia shows up and stuns him with a powder made from Wolfsbane and uses him to bring his uncle back from the dead. After Dr. Alan Deaton brings him back from dreamland he goes to Scott and Stiles at the Sheriff Station/Police Station. However Jackson claws the back of his neck, subduing Derek before he can be of any help. He also ends up in an awkward situation briefly when Stiles is poisoned and crash lands on him in what would look like an intimate position. After the events at the Sheriff’s office he is on the run from the hunters. He hides out at the “Hale House” when both Erica and Boyd announce they are leaving his pack to find another Alpha. His Uncle comes to offer his support and they fight. In the aftermath Peter manages to convince him by telling him he knows of away to save Jackson. Derek with his uncle at his side try to recruit Scott and Isaac to help the save Jackson and stop Gerard Argent. Once they learn Jackson was dead but now is cocooned in venom, they realise he is transforming into a more powerful form of the Kanima. Derek puts up the facade of wanting to save Jackson, yet he decides there is not enough time and plots with his uncle to kill Jackson instead and to stop Gerard in the process. After fighting the Kanima, they manage to sink their claws into Jackson’s human form and they kill him for the second time. Derek’s uncle reveals the reason why Derek was trying to build his pack up fast due to the threat of the Alpha pack that is heading to Beacon Hills. After Saving Scott and Isaac from another Alpha Werewolf, he helps Scott with his tattoo by using a blowtorch to burn away the healed skin covering it on his arm. Derek proceeds to explain that a new pack of Alphas has kidnapped Boyd and Erica and that he has spent the last four months searching for them. Derek brings in his uncle in hopes of retrieving some of Isaac’s lost memories to do with the Alpha Pack. Peter not to gently digs his claws into the back of Isaac’s neck. This gives them mixed results. When shown the symbols on Allisons and Lydia’s arms he considers them to be irrelevant. Dr. Alan Deaton manages to gain more information from Isaac’s missing memories through a form of hypnosis. This reveals that Erica is dead and that Boyd and unknown girl is being held in a vault in an abandoned bank. With this new gained information they plot to break into the vault. Derek is surprised when he breaks into the vault as he finds his long thought dead little sister Cora in the vault alongside with Boyd. However the construction of the vault leads to both Cora and Boyd not being able to shift with in it and they have been like this for months, this results into leading them into a feral like state. Derek, Isaac and Scott join forces to track the two feral wolves. They manage to stop the pair from killing a camper and then soon join forces with Chris Argent. They force the two feral wolves towards the school. Peter attempts to convince his nephew to kill and to make more wolves. However Derek is forced to physically take on Boyda and Cora. He holds them both whilst they rip and tear into him with his claws. He does this to prevent them from killing a teacher that was trapped down with them. This carries on through the rest of the night until the sun rises and leaves him weak and in agony yet he still succeeds in helping the teacher escape. Derek wants Cora to rest up and recover as much as possible. Cora herself is disappointed in him for not helping her track down the Alpha pack. Yet the Alpha pack comes to them; Kali and Enis attack Derek’s loft. Cora tries to fight back and Derek is pinned and the two Hale siblings are soon overwhelmed. Derek’s torso is soon pierced by a steel pipe which holds him in place. Deucalion makes his entrance and he explains to how Derek can become more powerful if he kills all his betas after this attempt of recruitment Deucalion leaves. Derek soon kicks out Isaac in attempt to protect him whilst hoping that the Alpha pack would not try to harm Isaac or Boyd. Derek schemes with Cora and Boyd to kill Deucalion before they get ambushed by the Alpha pack again. Whilst Scott is meeting with Deucalion, Derek follows him wit the rest of his pack inline and is almost killed during the conflict that arises. He seeks out aid from Jennifer Blake whom was the teacher he saved previously before collapsing from his injuries. Derek returns to his Loft with the aid of Jennifer; whilst not knowing her less than savory intentions. She seduces Derek and they have sex and whilst sharing a kiss after their intimacy his wounds heal completely. Derek, and what remains of his pack minus his uncle and his sister lay a trap for the Alpha pack. The trap fails as the Alpha pack show up with Jennifer as a hostage to make sure Derek’s betas stay out of the fight that happens between Kali and Derek. in the end Kali with the aid of the twins force a weakened Boyd on to Derek own claws this increases his power and further increases the Alpha pack’s interest in him. Derek is left in both physical and emotional pain and he meets up with Jennifer for the first time since Boyd died on his claws. He finds out that Cora has collapsed and she is in hospital. Her wounds are mysteriously not healing and Derek vows never to leave her side again. Derek later learns Jennifer has been using him and that she is not who she says she is. he discovers she is the Darach; a druid gone truly dark and off the path of balance. He is sicked that he has been used again and another piece of him shatters away. He forced Jennifer to help heal Cora as he learn’t that she was behind Cora’s “illness”. He is chased into an elevator with Jennifer by the Alpha’s and then the power is cut and the two of them are trapped inside. Derek is unable to act due to Cora’s weakening condition. Peter suggests a possible solution which involves Derek healing Cora by sacrificing the spark that makes him an Alpha, Derek chooses to give his family's legacy and saves his sister, Cora. He discovers he was not the real target the Alpha pack was after he ascends to become a True Alpha out of sheer will power. Derek flees when Kali confronts him but returns when he hears Lydia’s screams. He begrudgingly joins forces with Jennifer again to defeat Deucalion. He tricks her into healing Deucalion's eyesight which weakens her enough for the werewolves to defeat her. later Derek and Cora leave Beacon Hills together in attempt to flee the madness and try to make a new life for themselves. However within a few weeks; Derek and Peter are locked up and chained to an electrified fence by an unknown enemy. Derek and his estranged uncle are rescued by the mercenary who rescued Isaac at the beginning of the Alpha pack fiasco they learn she is called Braeden. With Braeden’s aid they recover Talia’s claws which are sealed in a cylinder with the triskelion carved into it. Derek sews his uncle's finger back on due to it being cut off whilst they were being tortured by the hunter clan called the Calaveras. Derek then forces Peter to wield his mother's claws to help him communicate with his mother. Derek returns from his dream like state with a look of sheer terror etched onto his face. During Halloween Derek scares some kids by showing his “fangs” and smiles smugly and he is attacked and branded by the shadowy figures that are the Oni in the parking lot outside the Loft. He recovers and returns to his loft to find a party in full swing. He kicks every one out pronto and the pack finds themselves somewhat cornered by the Oni. The Twins are branded as is Lydia and the pack attempts to fight off the Oni further only to fail and be soon saved by the rising sun which chases the Oni away with dawn's first light. Derek follows Scott in attempt to protect him from the Oni and he later explains to the twins that Kira the newest member of their group is a kitsune and is not the master of the Oni. Derek and Scott team up to search for Stiles. Derek figures out that the mass murderer is using Kira to jumpstart the Nogitsune. Agent Rafael McCall arrests him alongside of Chris Argent during the investigation of Silverfinger’s death. Derek helps Scott search for Stiles. He figures out that William Barrow was using Kira to jump start the Nogitsune.During their imprisonment they converse about what to do about Stiles when it and if it becomes too late to save him while the Nogitsune runs free through out Beacon Hills. Later on Derek save’s Chris Argent’s life when a bomb goes of at the Sheriff's Office After being released from his imprisonment, he aids Stiles father; the Sheriff to find away to capture the Nogitsune. When they attempt this the Nogitsune uses a fly to control Derek and he attempts to burn Chris Argent alive. While Searching for the Nogitsune, Derek saves the twins from a group of hunters with wolfsbane laced bullets. He believes them to be the ones who captured him and Derek is looking for the La-Loba. Derek offers inspiration to the twins to stand and fight for Scott’s cause and battles the Oni with them. The battles continues as Scott, Allison and Stiles figures out Nogitsune can only be stopped by the bite of an Alpha which would change it from a fox to a wolf which would defeat it. When they capture the Nogitsune; the conflict claims the lives of Aiden and Allison as they are stabbed by the Oni which are now controlled by the Nogitsune. after the battle is completed and the group separates he returns to loft to rest and in his slumber he dreams he is attacked again by the Calaveras only to be saved by Kate Argent who shoots Derek in the chest before revealing herself to be a WereJaguar. This reveals her to be alive and turned by Peter’s claws that tore out her throat. Is this merely a dream or is it reality? RP Sample: Derek stood by the giant bay windows in his loft. The open floor plan of the loft was left with a hollow feeling as it held very little personal items and it seemed less of a home and more of a temporary shelter to him. He watched as the moon started to rise and felt the need to howl in chase of the moon in hope that his family would answer his call but they would not and he dwelt in sorrow. At times he could swear he could hear Laura barking over his shoulder to move on and live his life. As the moon rose and the sun set the light and shadows only made his haunted face and handsome physique seem all the more beautiful. he closed his eyes and breathed in and his shirtless chest rose and lowered with each breath. He felt the absence of his family even more sharply with Cora’s disappearance so fresh on his mind. He began to pace backwards and forwards as he worried he would go over the edge if he lost her truly this time. he was drawn out of his pensive reverie by his alarms flaring to life with its blaring red light as the siren sounded. He had been attacked before by hunters countless of times and he let his fangs drop and his eyes shone with the cold steel blue like murder as a deep growl vibrated from his chest. He watched the door patiently and waited to pounce when the intruder walked through the door. no one came and he tilted his head and extended his hearing to listen and he closed his eyes whilst his face scrunched up in focus. He heard nothing so he cautiously approached the door and yanked it open in one swift movement with a loud bang to reveal nothing. Derek calmed down and let his features shift back to his human state as he closed the door before turning around and breathing a sigh of relief. He walks over to the alarm box and flips it off and growls to himself. “must have been rats…” He feels claws rip into his back by an unknown assailant and he feels himself fall into the abyss only to awake where he dozed off standing by the windows in a cold sweat as he gasps for air whilst looking around for a would be assailant. He looks up at the moon through the windows as he slows his breathing to a normal pace as he realises it was a nightmare. Derek rubs at his forehead before stalking over to his bed before inhaling the scent of home and finds himself pleased that Jennifer’s scent is finally gone. “it was only a dream… damn it” He collapses on his bed and vows never to go near another women as they only scream trouble. |
