I remember everything I did and the worst part is I remember liking it.
BECAUSE I FELT POWERFUL. I FELT FEARLESS. AND MOST OF ALL, IN CONTROL.

It seemed that no matter how calm some things seemed to get in town, there was always something much more sinister in the works. There had been another bout of recent animal attacks out in the woods, ones which weren't at all different to the ones that had alerted them of werewolves in the past. He was sure Carina had skipped town, so it couldn't be her and as far as he was concerned, there had been no new wolves migrating towards the nemeton.
Rather than go ask Dr. Deaton or even Scott, Stiles decided to go with the next best thing. However, Peter Hale still hadn't answered any of his messages, no matter how many emoticons of a scared yellow dude he used. Perhaps he was really busy with other stuff and would get back to him later. Luckily, Derek was alive, the last time he had checked, and would probably be able help him make sense of what exactly was going on in their town.
He had swiped the case file from the kitchen table only a few minutes ago when his father got called back to the office because of an accident out on the interstate that they needed help with. In his rush out the door, he had left the documents unattended. A quick text alerted Derek of his impending arrival and Stiles was on his way to the loft.
It was just his luck that Roscoe would suddenly die out halfway to the grumpy man's house. He pulled the car over to the side of the road, grabbed his phone and texted Derek that he might take a while because he was having car trouble. His tools were somewhere in the back and he could probably get the old thing up and running in maybe twenty minutes, so he grabbed the box and popped open the hood.
A small cloud of smoke rose out as he pinned the hood open. He covered his nose as he batted the gas away and used his phone as a light to try and identify the source of the smoking. The brunet was moments away from taking a deeper look when he identified a small device to the left of the engine. Picking it up, he brought it closer to his face to inspect. It kind of looked like the machine Chris had put in Jackson's car when he had suspected him to be a werewolf.
His brain quickly caught up with the situation and he closed the hood as fast as he could just in time to turn and come face to face with a gun. Startled, he dropped his phone and heard the distinct shatter of the glass along with the click of the gun. “O-Okay, listen dude. I don't know who you are but maybe you should go ahead and lower that gun so we can talk this out?” His hands were up in surrender, not wanting to anger the man who clearly had a good hold on the current situation.
