A Memorial to the Archer (Lydia and Isaac)

When someone had first put up the shrine-like memorial, Isaac hadn't even known who had initiated the thing. It was some chick from the cheer leading squad, he'd heard later and that had made him so angry. The girl had probably only talked to Allison once or twice and she used her death to boost her own popularity even more. She wanted the other students and the teachers to think that she was this good girl who'd done this selfless act out of the pure goodness of her heart, at least that was what it felt like to Isaac.

He'd had to control himself, balling up his fists so his wolf wouldn't break free. It was one of those times when he was scared that he might be much mor like his father than he wanted to admit. Back when the pain was so fresh and raw, walking by her portrait every day, more and more flowers and other stuff gathering around it, sent a fresh wave of grief through him every time he looked at those brown eyes and he tried not to notice it even though he knew it was there of course.

Only recently had he noticed that the grief started to mix with happy memories and he'd even smiled a few times as he'd glanced at the photo on her locker. He took to stopping in front of the picture with the black ribbon on it and so he did as he took the familiar path yet again.

He smiled softly as he studied the familiar features, his hand inside the pocket of his leather jacket caressing the silver arrow head that he'd kept after Allison's death. He glanced over to his right and only now noticed Lydia standing next to him, which made his cheeks blush and his feet shift uncomfortably. Of course it wasn't as bad between them anymore as it had been back when Lydia had rejected his request for a date so brutally or when Isaac had wanted to kill her, assuming she was the Kanima. The werewolf had even saved her life that one time the huntress they were mourning now had almost killed her best friend with an arrow. Still, he wasn't sure if the two of them could be considered friends.

"Hey!", he simply greeted her in a soft tone, because he didn't really know what else to say. He felt awkward and pushed both of his hands into his pockets now, turning his face away from Lydia and back to Allison's portrait.
