Simple things set her off and she will not think twice about letting someone know when they've crossed a line. Airis is as loyal as a dog (pun intended), and always stands up for the people she considers allies, friends or lovers. She is a fighter, but friendly when the situation is right. Mother: Loyola Freehold deceased Father: Robert Freehold deceased Children: none Pets: none Others: Very distant brother,John(NPC) Aunt Lib, Deceased and Sally, mother figure History: Being born into a 'normal' family, Airis always felt like the odd one out. She was raised by her father, Robert, and her older brother, John in a large town in South Dakota. John was always center stage in the family, always had the spotlight shinning down on him and was always outgoing. Because of this, he was the family favorite. Growing up Airis was quiet, soft spoken and always had her head dug into a sheet of paper, whether she was reading, writing or drawing. Robert was a kind and tender man, one who loved his children very much, even thought being a single father was difficult. Airis was young when she first turned, and although her age wasn't remembered, the experience was. She remembered being angrier than she had ever been before, anything anyone said instantly set her off. She remembered running out of her house late at night, her dad yelling for her to come back. A few moments later all she could see was red. Her senses were heightened. Movement here, movement there she was on high alert. She woke up in the frozen woods, not remembering falling asleep. That was the day her life changed, her father looked at her as an abomination, her brother never found out. Airis's mother, Loyola was not around, died during childbirth. Besides that little knowledge she held, Air knew better than to ask any questions about the woman that gave birth to her. Once her dad started looking down on her, she threw every fiber of her being into finding what she was, how she was it and what to do about it. Folk lore was her go to. In school, Airis was just as quiet as now, never giving anyone the time of day. It wasn't that she hated people, she just didn't particularly like them. She could hear whispers from across the school, outside in the parking lot and sometimes down the street if she concentrated hard enough. Because of this, Airis loved the quiet. Besides her attitude towards school, she did very well. Once John moved out, her father always had friends over. It was always much louder than it should be, intoxication playing a part. Airis would always leave and find her way to an old restaurant down the street, 'Sallys Corner' it was called. Sally was the daughter of the original owners, a tough lady around the age of 40 who was one of Airs only friends and was also a werewolf. Airis met Sally at 16. Sally was the only one there for her when she mistakenly killed someone in the woods. It wasn't the full moon night, but something at school had set her off. When she went home, her father had already been drinking and yelling with his friends over some stupid poker game. Airis became beyond pissed. She wolfed out, jumping out of her window from the second story and rain into the woods. It was still daylight out, but her anger was at its top notch. Everything seemed red and foggy, and she couldn't tell the difference between friend or enemy. A man was in the woods that evening, hiking or something, and got into Airis's way. She had major bloodlust and soon his life was over. She could never forgive herself for it. That was someone's husband, or boyfriend. Someone father or son. Airis didn't belong to this town anymore. When she turned 21 she was at 'Sally's Corner' and received a phone call. It was from the local sheriffs department, her father was found shot in his bedroom. His death had been labeled a suicide, which wasn't at all suspicious considering he was a heavy drinker. It took two months to get over the death, since Air wasn't very close to her father. During those two months she stayed with Sally, getting together her finances and working as a waitress at the restaurant. She needed to get out of town. She craved a fresh start. So when she stumbled across a box labeled "Loyola" in a drawer at her house, she knew where she was going. The first paper in the box was an article from Beacon Hills, California. It showed a small group of teenagers standing in the parking lot of a highschool, the title of the article being "Math Gleeks win it again". Airis had to stop reading, she felt no connection to this peace of paper, or anyone in the picture. And at the moment she had no desire to continue going through the box. The words Beacon Hills, California burned in her mind though, and she wondered where and when she had heard of it. A couple minutes past and it clicked, her aunt Lib. Lib had died a few year back, in a car crash. She had left behind a cozy home in the town under someone else's name. Instantly, Airis knew she had to make a call. Figure out who's name the house was under, if the house was even still there. A few hours of researching and calling she finally got her information. It was all under Johns name. Another call to a brother she had grown apart from lead her to a major decision. Stay in South Dokota or pack up and start new in California? The answer was easy for Airis, California. RP Sample: Airis swung open the door to the cozy sized home. Her hazel eyes bounced off everything, trying her hardest to commit every detail to memory. The floors were a hardwood, a deep cherry color, while the walls were a plain white. After walking in, her eyes caught onto a spiral white staircase leading to a loft. The house was truly meant for one person to live in. Suddenly, Air heard the sound of a truck backing up. Patting her hair down and walking back out she was met with the site of a moving truck backing up. It was only five minutes late, Air judged by looking at her watch. "It took us f'ever to find this place." A man said out his window before getting out. The brunette focused her hearing on the inside of the moving truck, hearing another heartbeat. Two men, she thought to herself. As the second man got out they both started unlocking the back and opened it up. The only things she had moved along was her bed, desk, clothes and various knick- nacks. "Do you need help little lady?" One of the movers asked, causing Air to shake her head and give a threatening glare to the man that spoke. She hated pet names. Soon she started taking everything out, piece by piece and placing them correctly inside of the home. An hour later, Air was taking the last piece out when she felt a sensation. She didn't know what to call it, her arms got covered in goosebumps and her head went high as if at attention. It was like someone around her was leaking of authority, she knew that feeling. It was an alpha. All to soon, Beacon Hills didn't seem so perfect after all. |
