Peter could tell the girl was anything but comfortable with the talk of Hunters, but that didn’t matter much to him. She needed to know that there were Hunters here, even if Chris Argent was a good man and would no doubt continue to stand for what his daughter stood for. Sure, her good nature and new code had nothing to do with him. It had to do with Scott, but if it kept his ass alive for now, he would accept it. Then again, he was sure the only reason that he was alive was because it would piss of Derek to kill him. Not to mention, he was sure the Argents understood his need for revenge on the woman who had destroyed everyone and everything he had ever cared about. The only downside was murdering his eldest niece.
Kahlee asked Peter about him having been an Alpha. She had interrupted him, but he supposed he could understand why. It wasn’t always obviously normal for Alphas to be downgraded without dying, which was the irony since Peter had died. Still, he…supposed he should tell the girl, at least his side of the story. ”Yes, I was an Alpha. I died, but with a little help, I was able to return from the dead,” he told her, his voice soft as it always was, almost melodic as he told her. He didn’t want her to know that it left him weak, that he couldn’t fully shift. He didn’t like talking about his weaknesses, especially to an Omega who wasn’t a part of the pack, who would so quickly betray him should he ever do anything to piss her off.
The Omega spoke again, mumbling that she may go and see Scott. Peter figured it would be wise of her to do so, but he digressed. He wasn’t her and to be honest, whatever she did, was her choice. He would just be there to irritatingly remind her of that should she make the wrong one. Still, he decided to change the subject. ”So tell me, have you actually looked around the place yet, or have you just arrived?” he asked her curiously. He supposed he could be kind enough to tell her about the available places up for sale or rent in the area so she had a nice place to live so she could find a job and whatnot, assuming she didn’t have one, of course. He didn’t know her life and as such, wasn’t sure of what she had or hadn’t done to get herself comfortable in Beacon Hills.
